ELICIT-PLUS (2014-2017)

ELICIT-PLUS is the result of the cooperation between two successful networks in the field of education: ELOS and ELICIT. In a recent Comenius project, ELICIT (European Literacy and Citizenship Education), has developed a Portfolio of the European Citizen based on a new Reference Framework which included the ELOS CFEC, and a European Semester for Student-Teachers (30 ECTS), offered by 4 Universities (ES, FR, HU, SE). The ELOS network has been working for almost 10 years at the development of high-quality instruments for the implementation of European competences at school. Examples are the CFEC and the Quality Review.

Nowadays, civic education is gaining a new perspective. In today’s world, which is full of conflicts, people should develop a sense of responsibility at local and global level, and become active citizens of their country, continent and the planet as a whole. Still there are plenty of unresolved questions in theory and practice of education.
It is our pleasure to announce the Call for articles for the Special Issue on European Citizenship and Literacy for IJ21CE, which is planned to be published in December 2016.
